20th Century African-American Women: Ebony Magazine Archive

Ebony magazine partnered with Google to digitize 65 years of their journal. Each issue is scanned with all pages, including advertisements, and has a search function making every page searchable by key word. There is also a zoom function and quick link to each issue's table of contents. There are many articles featuring the work and contributions of African-American women. In addition, there are numerous advertisements geared towards women and articles discussing beauty and family life. Throughout the issues, there are also stories from and about the African diaspora. Truly a remarkable resource for anyone interested in 20th century African-American history and culture.
