The exhibition The Art of Gaman: Arts and Crafts from the Japanese Internment Camps, 1942-1946 continues at the Renwick Gallery through January 30, 2011. NPR's The Creative Art Of Coping In Japanese Internment (6 min 23 sec) includes additional background information and sample images from the collection.
